My life has been amazing, and I'm so grateful for all of the opportunities I've had to work with incredible artists, both in front of and behind the camera. As an actor, I've gotten to perform on stages and in films around the world, and, as a director, travel to festivals with my first film around the country, meeting the most generous of audiences and brilliant fellow filmmakers.
I've been performing onstage since I was 7 years-old and got hooked on the rush of being in front of a live audience and stage-diving at curtain call into my mom's waiting arms. My work on camera started at CalArts, and I've never stopped feeling that rush. I'm just as thrilled to support the work of other actors by writing and directing films, teaching students in my classrooms, and continuing to create work that pushes boundaries and feeds the soul.
The greatest joy of my life has been working with the tremendous collaborators that have given their boundless energy and talent to join with me in bringing alive every character I've played, every scene I've directed, every moment spent making art that both lasts forever, and disappears as the curtain falls on closing night. It's a magical business we're in. I'm thankful for it all, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
